Perhaps you envision a world with more ethical leadership, responsible technology, stronger communities, healthier democracies, racial justice, environmental sustainability or greater equality for future generations.
Contribute to Choose Freedom, a collection of women's visions of the future from around the world. Tell us about the future you want to see and why it matters. You do not need to be famous, a published writer or an established expert. We are looking for ordinary, extraordinary women who care about the future and have something honest, specific and meaningful to say.
Why Contribute?
You may have a voice in your head telling you that your vision is not important enough, your idea is not developed enough or somebody else could say it better. We are not looking for polished experts or perfect answers. We are looking for honest voices, real people and visions that help all of us imagine what could be possible.
Add your voice to a global message
Your contribution will sit alongside perspectives from different industries, countries, cultures, generations, backgrounds and walks of life. Together, our voices can create something no single woman could create alone, a collective message about the future we want and are willing to help shape.
Help another woman feel hopeful
Something you have experienced, questioned or begun to understand may be exactly what another woman needs to read. Your words could give someone recognition, courage, language for an idea or the confidence to take one meaningful step.
Make space for what you believe
Daily life rarely gives us the opportunity to stop and ask what future we genuinely want. Preparing your contribution is an invitation to clarify what matters to you, what you hope will change and what part you might play.
Become part of a published collective work
If your contribution is selected, your words will be included in the published book and you will be credited as a contributor.
Create something that lasts
This is a record of what women across the world imagined, hoped for and chose to do at this moment in history. Your words may speak to women today and to women looking back from 2050.
Connect vision with action
You do not need to be leading a movement or changing an entire system. We want to hear what you are already doing, however small, and what support or connection might help you do more.
You do not have to have the whole answer. You only need to be willing to add your honest voice.

Choose Freedom is a new book that will bring together women’s voices from around the world, honest, specific and meaningful perspectives on the future they want to help create.

Before You Submit
Submitting a contribution does not guarantee inclusion in the finished book. Submissions will be reviewed and curated to create a coherent, balanced and diverse collection. We may be unable to provide individual feedback or respond to every contributor. Selected contributors will be contacted separately and will be required to agree final wording and sign a contributor agreement before publication.
- The contribution describes a future rather than only recounting a past achievement.
- The vision is specific enough for a reader to imagine.
- The contribution is grounded in personal meaning or lived experience.
- The response includes agency, action or willingness to contribute, even on a small scale.
- The voice adds something distinctive to the overall collection.
- The submission avoids generic motivational language and commercial promotion.
- The contribution can be published safely, ethically and legally.
- The final collection will seek breadth across geography, background, age, life context and future themes without promising a quota or representation of every group.
