People often know me as a speaker, coach, author, social entrepreneur and founder of Aspire. They may have encountered my work at an event, through a podcast, in one of my books, or as part of a coaching or leadership programme. What they often do not see is the journey that brought me here.

I grew up on a council estate in England and lost my mother at a young age. Like many women, I have experienced periods in my life where the future felt very uncertain and the path ahead was anything but clear. I have known grief, disappointment, self doubt and failure, and I have learned that growth rarely happens in a straight line. Looking back, many of the experiences that felt most difficult at the time became some of my greatest lessons. The story of my life has not been about avoiding challenges. It has been about learning how to navigate them and continuing to move forward when the outcome was unclear.

When I started Aspire more than twenty five years ago, I did not have a grand plan. What I did have was a belief that women deserve the opportunity to fulfil their potential, use their voice and make a meaningful contribution to the world around them. That belief became Aspire, an organisation that has gone on to support women in countries around the world through coaching, leadership development, mentoring, events and research.

Over the years I have had the privilege of working with women from many different backgrounds, professions and cultures. I have worked with senior executives, entrepreneurs, educators, charity leaders, professionals, mothers, campaigners and change-makers. Despite their different circumstances, I have seen many of the same questions emerge again and again. How do I create a life that feels true to who I am? How do I make a meaningful difference? What do I want my contribution to be? And how do I navigate change when life is asking me to grow?

Those conversations have shaped my own thinking as much as any qualification, promotion or achievement ever could. They have led me to believe that women are not lacking talent, intelligence, experience or potential. What many women are seeking is something deeper. They are seeking the freedom to think independently, to make choices that are aligned with their values, and to create lives that feel both meaningful and authentic.

That belief sits at the heart of the Choose Freedom movement. It is not about having a perfect life. It is not about becoming fearless. And it is certainly not about waiting until everything is figured out before taking action. It is about recognising that women have the power to shape the future in the worlds they touch, whether that is within their families, communities, organisations, professions or society more broadly.

Today I live in California and continue to work internationally through speaking, writing, podcasting, events and retreats. I remain endlessly curious about women, leadership, change and human potential. Most of all, I am passionate about creating spaces where women can think bigger, challenge assumptions, explore new possibilities and step more fully into the future they aspire to create.

Thank you for being here. I hope that something you find on this website encourages you to trust yourself more deeply, act with courage, and recognise the difference you are capable of making in the world.
