Leadership Presence and Impact

Leadership presence is not simply about confidence, status or being the loudest person in the room.

Leadership presence is not simply about confidence, status or being the loudest person in the room. It is about how we connect with others, communicate what matters, demonstrate credibility and translate our intentions into meaningful action.

Explore how to strengthen your leadership presence, communicate with greater authority and create a more lasting impact. This practical resource introduces Aspire’s four-part framework of Authenticity, Authority, Agility and Activity, while examining the effects of imposter syndrome, unconscious bias and gendered leadership expectations. It includes reflective questions, practical exercises and action-planning prompts to help you understand how you show up, recognise what may be holding you back and identify the changes you want to make.

Throughout the slides from a previous Aspire workshop with Dr Sam Collins, you will find questions, exercises and prompts to help you reflect on how you currently show up as a leader, where you may be holding yourself back and what you could do differently to increase your influence and impact. The resource concludes by helping you move from reflection to commitment through a personal action plan.

This resource is for anyone who wants to lead with greater authenticity, authority and purpose, particularly women navigating systems in which traditional ideas about what a leader “looks like” can still shape whose voice is heard and whose leadership is recognised.
